fabricated steam radiator for my small bath room

I Fadricated this radiator for a small bathroom in my Co-op Apt. I used two old new 2" x 3/4" reducer ells and an old piece of 2" pipe and Violia! It heats well and makes an incredable difference. I am making another for a client in a total rebuilt bath in a 1920 house done in Art Deco Style. The rad there is large and very overkill.Small and funky wins the day.

    Nice Job!

I can think of a couple places where that would work real well.

The only thing its missing is a TRV!

    Sometimes smaller IS better.

Cool! What's the T and cap at the bottom for? Draining the radiator?

The tee and cap are for support on the floor, though I guess it traps some junk. I really like the look and quality of the never been used (old stock) fittings.

    By the way...

the EDR on that would be a little over 1 Square foot. I'll bet that's not listed in EDR:-) But I'm probably wrong;-(

That gives me ALL kinds of ideas... Gonna have to talk to my friend Mr Gibbs about getting some replacement elements for some of his smaller boilers, manifold them together in such a way that they KICK BUTT, and call it a El Hot Rod heater. Let me whip out my Paint Brush and draw you a picture, he said with a glint in his eye...

    Enjoy!!
