The Paul System

I know Dan has spoken of the Paul system in his book "The Lost Art of Steam Heat". He mentioned that the technology is still there to use this system. I know Hoffman makes the air vents for this system. My question is what type of a vacuum pump would you use and how would you hook it up.
Thanks

the paul systems
that we still see around clevelands eastern suburbs have the piping terminate in the chimney, and the negative pull of the chimney itself sucks the air out of the radiators..i love the way the dead men did stuff with few moving parts..0 -
I'd use a
clinical vacuum pump and have it come on with the thermostat.Retired and loving it.0 -
Clinical Vacuum Pum

Thanks for the idea. I had thought about the using that type of pump but wasn't sure it would pull the air out fast enough.
Thanks again
