    head loss

Does one of the Wall's experts have information on the head loss through a Watts 1107 tempering valve at flows of 3 to 8 gallons per minute?

I've found a graph on their web site that shows a pressure drop of 4 psi at 4 gallons per minute flow. My mathmatical intuition is that this equates to about 10 feet of head loss butI'm not certain of my method. (Water weighs ~.43lb./square inch per foot of depth so 4 psi = about 10 feet of head. I'm hoping that this is way off base as it would really reduce flow in the system involved.

Thanks for you intelligent thoughtful feedback.

    The static pressure loss

is 0.433 psi/ft. so 10 feet would be 4.33psi. You were correct.

I guess those science courses years ago did stick some useful stuff in my brain. Now if I add in the piping losses it will be cake to estimate system flow.

    Thanks for the quick reply,
