We're steamin' !

this week. Will post pics next week (forgot my camera). Thanks to Steamhead, et al. for the encouragement and advice leading to my 1st steam boiler replacement in my 20+ yrs in business. Also, to Dan for writing an informative and easy to read book like "The Lost Art".

Things started rough, the old feed line broke at the stop and then the house plumbing seemed to crumble anywhere we touched it, leading to a 2 hour delay AFTER we cut out the old boiler. Luckily I have a good team and we had a pipe yard ready for our custom nipples. Had 'er up and running at 7 PM. Made steam in under 10 minutes (old one took 30 at more input). Good thing cause it never got above 2F all day.

EVERYBODY is happy, warm and QUIET.

Nice addition to my resume. Sure feels good to accomplish something new.
