ROBERT BEAN.....Riles

Member Posts: 60
Great, at 9:00am on the 14th, we sent Robert Bean an email inquiring about coming to town and speaking for the RPA-WAC (Radiant Panel Assoc. - WASHINGTON DC AREA CHAPTER). I see at Noon on the 14th Dan posted comments on "The Bean". Now Robert's schedule is going to fill up (as it should!).
ROBERT, WE WANT YOU.....to be our guest speaker at our April Membership dinner meeting and then the following day give a seminar. We would like to secure you the week following WETSTOCK. Maybe the RPA-WAC dinner meeting Wednesday, April 21st, then the seminar Thursday, April 22nd. These events would be held in the Washington DC area.
Our chapter (RPA-WAC) continues to grow. During 2003 we held similar, very successful, events with Dan Holohan and John Siegenthaler. Of course, not to forget over 50 attended our membership kickoff dinner with DAVE "PAH" YATES as guest speaker.
Our Board of Directors consists of many WALL regulars (DF "Dan Foley", Wayco Wayne "Wayne Crump" & Riles "Jeff Riley").
I couldn't agree more with Mr. Holohan, Robert Bean is one of the most thought provoking speakers I have ever heard. He is and will always be one of my favorites.
WE WANT THE BEAN!

I know of at least
one manufacturer that has already hired him to lend his insights to their marketing plans. Those folks are going to get a serious leg-up on their competition. Mark my words.

...WHAT YOU WANT - YOU CAN HAVE !
If you ask any of the people I have worked with, they'll tell you a few eons back I got in the habit of planning my schedule one year in advance. (No Kidding!) What I found out was how easy it is to control the one commodity, which we never seem to have enough of...TIME. So Mr. Riles & Co...I have only 6 weeks left open for 2004 and your schedule fits in beautifully...but dude those are some highly talented colleagues to follow as an encore...Holohan, Siegenthaler and PAH...yikes I better sharpen up the skates!0 -
exciting, innovative & sooth sayer - definately not decaff
Wow! This chapter of the RPA is setting a benchmark that will be darn tough to beat. The RPA evidently chooses its presidents wisely.
Anyone who chooses The Bean is wise beyond their years.
Watch out for Luttrell, he's the heckler sitting in the first row - reminds me of the curmudgeon from The Muppet Show that sat in the balcony(G).
And Robert, if Black Flag offers you a ride - decline for safety's sake.

Decadence!
Here's a story about Mike...he's sitting in a research seminar full of cerebral celebrities competing for copywritten commentary when he gently reminds us we're here to sell decadence not provide evidence of our technical prowness.
I think his closing comments were..."If you want to do research give us documents to support our sermons on selling the sizzle."

Hey Riles!
How are you and the family?
I would like to hear this talk when it takes place.

Inside the Beltway
Be careful talking bout them thar bugs once you're inside the Beltway. Politicians are high strung as it is, what with everyone of em running round the country calling each other things that would start a great bar room fight under any other set of circumstances. Cep'n they're too refined to actually throw a knuckle sandwich. It's enough to turn off the voters, which is probably why so few bother to vote. Bout the only thing they haven't accused each other of is cannibalism!
Nope, I'm done with those bugs for now. Anybody wants to go put in an open system - go ahead. All the code bodies, including the otherwise smarter ones up north, have given the green light. Common sense took a leave of absense. Gollum has the ring.

The Bean goes to Washington
The RPA-WAC (Washington DC Area Chapter) will be honored to have you back in town for this event in April.
Robert let's talk Monday or Tuesday.
I may head up to York, PA Monday to visit my Mom (in town from Fla.), otherwise I'd stop by PAH's for happy hour in his mechanical room. I understand all you have to do is come to town and he serves hors d'oeuvres in his boiler room.
RB glad to see the dates work.
I'll be in touch.

I'll make sure you
get the info. Look forward to seeing you in April if not sooner.

I only wish...
There were hors d'oeuvres in the boiler room. I worked with Dave all day, untill 6:30, and then had to see his boiler room. Poor Mrs. Yates had dinner ready, but we had to see the boiler room.
A fine boiler room it is too! The munchin is pretty impressive, and very quiet.
Thanks again PAH for the great day.
To everyone in the DC area, or an hour or two drive... See The Bean. I have seen many of his seminars and learned something new everytime. Looking forward to seeing you Mr. Bean. Stay away from the Mad Cows in Alberta!

But.....
Doesn't everybody serve horse doobers in their manical rooms? There a symphonic orchestra playing sweet music to my ears down there(G).
Missed you today Riles.
