Hey all, some input needed. Have a job where client would like some floor warming, they have 1/4 sawn 3/4" oak direct glue down to concrete. Glue approved for floor heating. Do you all think that plates on under side of concrete with tubing clipped in w/ 7" centers and r-30 below the tube would be any problem other than slow to heat. Any thing you can add would be helpful. ?? too much movement on floor? looks like appx 20 btuh a ft safe on floor. What ya all think.

Tim,
Helped design a retrofit of a ramp in NYC in 1999 - this was a snowmelt! where we attached Onix to the corrugated decking and insulated underneath. It works so well they now want to do another ramp.
I think if we can melt snow with a retrofit under a slab, surely you can warm a floor in a similar application.
Hope this helps.
