You are filling the boiler
every 2 to 3 days ? I would bet there is a leak somewhere - the vents , a return pipe , something .
On a new install where the homeowners vacation for a long time , or they are elderly and cannot get down in the basement , I recommend using 2 probe LWCOs . No need to flush the standard control , like a 67 , but they do need to be checked every year for buildup on the probes . You can connect an auto feeder to the LWCO also , but being gone for 3 months at a clip , I wouldn't want to know the damage the feeder could cause if something happens and it fills the boiler continuously ( very rare though ) .
Vacation for 3 months ? I envy you .0
