Forced hot water problem
Angel
Member Posts: 1
I have a forced hot water heat, with three zones and one circulator. On the second floor,it is impossible to sleep, due to the noise,it is like running water(air).I do not have a vent on that floor,so I have tried to purge on the furnace, what I did was to put a water hose on the purge faucet and I let the water run for more than 45 minutes, with not results. What can I do or what am I doing wrong? Thank you for the help,if more info let me know it.

purging air
It's a relatively easy thing to do, but you should hire someone to come and show you how. You'll be working with very hot water and you can get hurt. It is necessary to isoleate the zone you want to purge, build up the pressure to just below the safety setting and force out the air from the zone. Every system is different a a pro should get his eyes and hands on yours.
