What's better for using condensate of residential Steam boiler for supplying radiant to a master bath floor, a flat plate heat exchanger or a tank in tank setup? Why?
Thanks in advance!

I think
a flat plate would clog.Retired and loving it.0 -
My experience
Cold enough on the east coast?
You don't have to thank me for the "Alberta Clipper" ;-)
When it's like that here, distributers seem to change plate exchanger lines faster than their pants.
It is leaking and it will take 3 weeks to get the plates FLOWN in from WeaselPiss Creek.
Shell and tube exchangers? Hit them with a bus and they still work.
Sorry responsive plate suppliers. Hasn't worked this way here.

flat plate will definately clog eventually. shell and tube is real good . they also sell a coaxial tube within a tube type coil. i love these especially when made of coppernickel as this keeps fouling to a minimum. plus they are pretty compact, and offer excellent heat transfer.0
