Is it possible to put dry gas in a #2 fuel oil tank to prevent moisture problems?

a guy at work says that they did it all the time, back in the day. he's not kidding. i cant recommed it. we use a product called "hot" for water problems. we use either "melt-down" or "liqua-fire 275" for jelled tanks.0 -
Denatured alchohol would be better, it's
what the old timers did before all of the new chemicals. Don't use dry gas, it probably will lower the flash point, you need something that will lower the pour point.0
