weather>>We have several direct vent boilers.Fairly new to the problems they have.Has anyone had problems w/direct vents rumble,and vibrate in COLD weather only?
Set to specs.,around 11% to 12% co,O smoke...What have you done to solve these problems??What problems have you had??

one thing...
to do is to make the intake longer so as to heat up the cold air entering a bit more.It is kind of the nature of the beast...kpc

direct vent
i installed several direct vents, one being in my own home..i also found burners louder in cold temps,,,, solved problem by, making 4" air intake longer and running close to boiler to help heat air,,,added a tiger loop which does a great job preheating the oil,, lowered nozzle size but bumped pump pressure up to 160psi.been running since 1998 with min serv,, good luck.. mike0 -
