radiant slave zone

has anyone run a slave zone off a baseboard loop? i'm thinking of piping in-floor heating, like a towel warmer, with a circ. and mixing valve. i'm assuming a seperate thermostat would turn the pump on and off taking heated water when the baseboard zone is calling. i could cover some baseboard elements so the on cycle is longer. it's a small bath, and hard to get pex to the 2nd floor. does anyone have a diagram? thanks, bob

Just a thought
When you put in your "slave Zone" be sure to place the supply and return towards the end of your baseboard loop where the water is returning coldest. Use close set "T"s and be sure to place a check valve on the return so that your main circulator doens't allow flow throught the return loop. Also make sure you watch your temp. Set your mixing valve to 130-140 tops. Also check how hot the warmer gets so nobody gets burned.

can't get
to that link. i'm assuming that i would pipe that like primary/secondary piping, using the baseboard loop like a primary loop? does anyone know if it will work? thanks, bobTo learn more about this professional, click here to visit their ad in Find A Contractor.0 -
