and came across their heat output ratings (btu/h) and I was wondering how you can figure out the sq ft EDR of steam when you know the btu ratings??

16" S T E A M V I E W C A P A C I T I E S
Nominal Length 24" 36" 48" 60" 72"
BTU/H OUTPUT 2,564 3,763 5,104 6,306 7,646

24" S T E A M V I E W C A P A C I T I E S
Nominal Length 24" 36" 48" 60" 72"
BTU/H OUTPUT 3,553 5,225 7,106 8,778 10,659

    One square foot EDR

    equals 240 BTUH with steam.

    Thanks, Dan

    I should have known that..

So the radiator thats listed as 24" high and 24" long is rated at 3,553 but/h giving me an EDR of 14 sq ft of steam.

That seems to be kind of a low output, is that because of the material make up of the rad or is that about right for rads that size??

    It is what it is.

If that's what they got from their testing then it's right for that particular radiator.
