Vacuum pump hi temps

The vacuum pump in the two-pipe heating system stays always hot (above 160'F). I've changed most of the steam traps by the radiators. I've cleaned the traps at the end of the return lines. Water hammering is still a problem in certain apt's although I've changed the steam traps. The temp in vacuum pump stays high, sometimes up to 200'F. What else I need to do?

Is the return piping insulated? If it is..Remove some of the insulation or you could put some fin tubing radiation in the return line.0 -
what's fin tubing radiation
What's fin tubing radiation? and the return lines are insulated only for a small part.0 -
The same type that is used for hot-water baseboard..But in the past I have used 1 1/4 steel fin tubing.0 -
You still have a leaking trap.
I've put in brand new ones, and had them be a little crooked under the cap, and they blow right through.
That's too high for all good traps.
