HRV / AC unit

I have a homeowner who phoned me today regarding an HRV / AC unit that he swears he saw at a home show but he can't give me a brand name, does anybody have any answer to this? Has anybody ever even heard of having an HRV combined with an AC unit or is this homeowner just mistaken.

Yes, there is an HRV with a DX coil mounted in the cabinet. The manufacturer is Nu-Tech. I am a territory manager with Lennox Industries, and our Lennox Healthy Climate HRV's and ERV's are made by Nu-Tech. The HRV with DX coil would need to be matched with the appropriate condensing unit, and CAREFUL attention given to duct design.
I have designed several HRV systems in residential pool rooms using our HRV, a horizontal cased DX coil installed after the HRV. This has worked out very well for my dealers. Again, duct design is critical in this or any ventilation system.
