Reset Polaris ???

Has anybody out there reset a Polaris and if so how did you do it, controller, etc. ? I have a Polaris as source for hydroair and radiant. Despite hearing of Polaris issues, it works well other than it is on set point control and I do get some noise/ticking from radiant. Was hoping I could reset Polaris and run constant circ radiant and constant circ hydroair with blower on low speed and then ramp up to high if temp slips below set point. Any ideas. Thanks.

I think so
I have a handful of Polaris units out there with flat plate exchangers for the radiant.
I tAlked to the tech support guy one day and presented some "hypothetical" ideas to him.
They don't like you messing with internal wiring
Mine have the 160F boards in them. I run the temperature knob to it's highest setting. This becomes my high limit.
Then I use a Goldline or RTI setpoint control to "run" the Polaris. This allows me to spread the on off differintal which greatly reduces the cycling.
I don't see why a reset control couldn't be used in a similar fashion. I did get a tip on which wires inside to "interupt" but I'll bet ir could be done at the 120 volt input wiring if you had a line voltage reset control or a reley.
I'd suggest staying out of the "factory" wiring for liability issues
A couple HX tips. Keep the hx and the "A" side pump down low. This way if the plumber drains the tank for whatever you lessen the chance of an air locked, or burned out pump.
Also put a label or note to turn off the pump when shutting off, or draining water.
That A side pump can also serve as a DHW recirc pump for short loops.
Let us know how you make out.
