EMERGENCY!!!

That's right, someone turned t-stat to a/c in unoccupied Catholic Church Rectory. We froze every rad and 12 of the 16 are cracked. What should I do? The rads are recessed A/S convectors(circa 1952). Is there end sections available to replace what I have? Do we get rid of the cast iron rads and go to copper fin-tube? Just replaced the boiler this fall, luckily this is not a boiler problem, but it is MY problem. Any ideas would be appreciated. Bryan

Use the "find a professional" tool to get someone local. You'll need some help right away, I'm sure.

Cracked
The "Sunrad" type A/S rads are still made. Just not by A/S. My local wholesaler stocks many sizes that are virtually identical to the 1950's rads you describe. I cannot believe that item is very hard to get.
But if I'm wrong, try my wholesaler; Birdsall @ (908) 862-4455.

temp heat
For temp heat you can place a hydro-coil in the air handler or set one or more in place. We saved several old air handlers for this purpose & use them on job sites.
