Follow up on vertical traps

A while ago I contacted The Wall about vertical steam traps needed for my 1929 steam system. Neil and Steam Man mentioned Tunstall Assosiates as a place that could help. I contacted them and Tom Tunstall and his son Woody both took a personal interest in my problem.
One trap had been replaced by a local heating contractor with a horizontal trap at a large cost and I was afraid that would be necessary on all the radiators. They said replacements for vertical traps were not available any more.
At this point I went to The Wall and found out about Tunstall Associates. I e-mailed a picture of the old trap to Woody Tunstall and he told me he thought he had the replacement valve. I then mailed them an old trap and indeed they had the required valve.
They promply sent me my old trap back with replacement valves. I bought only two and would buy more if they worked. Well, replacement required unscrewing a large "nut?" and inserting the new valve. A simple task for the heating man who said he wished he had known about Tunstall in the beginning.
Many thanks to Neil and Steam Man and Tom and Woody Tunstall for helping solve this problem.

Nice that you came back to share.
Tunstall is great. They take a personal interest in every job, from what I can see. I'm working with a Trane system, now, that they will make the parts for.
Glad to have them to work with.

Apology to Noel
Sorry Noel. I referred to you as Neil. Tunstall did the trick. Thanks for pointing me in that direction. I'm going to post some more questions in the future.0 -
