Baseboard for Steam?

I have some old sections of cast iron baseboard that were used for a hot water loop taken off an old steam boiler. The old boiler has now been replaced with a new steam boiler and I was wondering if those same sections of cast iron baseboard could be hooked up to the one pipe steam system by intalling a steam line on one end and an air vent on the other end (and re-doing the pitch of the baseboard so it will drain back properly) Will this work?? I would prefer to be all steam and not re-establish the single water loop with circulator pump, etc. But I am just not sure if the cast iron baseboard will heat properly with steam.

it will work very well if not better but if you run more than four running feet you could need a return0
