I have a 4x8 shower that i would like to heat the walls.I will place Dura-Rock on the studs then 3/4 in granit. My thoughts were quick track or wirsbo heat strips. What have you guys found to work well. Also i thought of this after the initial heat loss calc and design.I did install a longer manifold with another telestat to servic the loop but am not sure if i want to run the shower on a set point by itself or run it with the bath thermastat.Any sugestions would be helpfull
Thanks-Rod

    Do it

I generally use RTI or ThermoFin attached to the studs or notched in. Then cement board over it.

You may be able to add on to the end of one of your floor loops, depending on their length. Doesn't take much footage to do a small wall at stud spacing.

Plates are a must, I tried one, my own, with just tube in the stud space. Very poor transfer at low temperature.

This is ThermoFin U fin from the rear view. Measure the spacing if you go crosswise to protect against nailing!

I go up and down the studs now for the nail potential reason :)

    Warm shower walls are great!

Or if the wall is structural

and you can't notch the studs,
    run the Radiant-Trak vertical.

Either control sequence is good to use, however if you control the wall seperately, you may throw off some BTU's to offset the floor and satisfy the bath stat. You might want to run it with the floor at the same temperature and twin up the zone valve.

Also, not shown in either picture is insulation, even its an internal wall pushed up tight.

    and don't

hit the tubing with any screws. Fixed three on New Years day. Tile installer. Leaks didn't show up till the heat had been on four days. He hit them by this much(see thumb and index).

And yes I tested all 16000ft of tube before firing.
