Any one on the wall use these? My old computer is due to be replaced and I am looking for some feedback. Can they really run windows programs without any problems?
Thanks

The new Macs
Yss & No,
The new Macs have the ability (sometimes w/ additional software) to read most PC documents. The only problems you may encountre are programs written for specific Windows OS's.
Most radiant and heating software is only written in PC format.

I love my Mac, but I feel like I've been swimming upstream with them since 1987. I believe it is a far superior computer, but there isn't enough software written for our industry.
even my latest attempt with a G-4 and 1 gig of ram didn't seem to run the windows programs properly on virtual PC.
I finally broke down and bought a PC to do my business stuff, but I still use my Mac for everything else

Thanks for the reply
Have you been able to link the Mac & the PC through a network? I went to the Apple store this afternoon and was very impressed with the computer. The store offers free classes for PC users but they told me that some windows programs will not run. What HVAC software did you try that didn't work? Thanks for your input.0
