Check out this test......I scored pretty darn high!
I suspect that many of you wallies would score very high also...:-)
Think I should qualify for SSI or something......after all I have found ways to use many of these "afflictions" to my advantage.

Whattaya think???

to that quiz, that anyone who has ever achieved anything, tinkered with anything or invented anything, would be in need of a shrink..perhaps we are really the sane ones?

OUCH , I don't like my score on that test.

I just relised a few things about myself by putting 2 and 2 together with that test.

    And....

    Your point would be ?

If anyone here wasn't in the ADHA disorder catagory, why would they be thinking this much about other peoples problems?

This IS what we do! Worry just seems to be a secondary thing, unless WE.... care .(oh No , not that!) Chris

I don't really want to go into details, but

lets just say that when I honestly thought about a few of the questions, I don't like the answers I came up with, even if they are the truth. Just making me think about my personality. Other questions tho I am perfectly content with the answers.

    ADD

Attention Deficit Disorder is very real, I've been dealing with it for several years as well as one of my sons..but you really have to watch the line of disorder and that of disipline. However, years back, I went through some rigorous test at a price tag of a grand..(not covered by insurance!) after reading an article in the local paper, I suppose all doctors were very busy after this article was published :) Anyhow to make a long story short,I began to take the meds my doc predcribed to me..and I was no longer walking in circles in the basements ..you know, scratching your head,"what was I doing"? where'd I lay that hammer down..or the wasted trips to the attic with "No Tools". It was so bad, that after a short while on meds I could actually sit at the diner and read the paper in the morning..I could focus better, period! I did this for years and it made a hugh difference in my life and in my work..(My wife and kids would notice if I didn't take anything for a couple of days, and gladly hand me my fix:)Heck the Boss would even tell me "Go take your pills, Bud" It's that apparent...as I said in the beginning..disorder or disipline? - I havn't taken anything for several months, and at times I wish I was, but I think after awhile the disipline becomes stronger and your a bit more able to recognize and adjust when you begin to loose focus on what you're doing...So now you have to ask yourself, was the doctor correct with the findings, I have no doubt, but after years of disipline...you pick up habits and are able to work use these habits subconsciously
How many of you really listen to what the customer is saying, or are you concentrating more on the decor of the home..the view out the patio doors...yes take the test.

Besides, I dropped 30 pounds in two months :) What more can you ask for..

    Did pretty good but......

if I would of taken that quiz some 20 years ago I would of hit the very high range. One thing that quiz does not take into account are the hours in a day. That many of us get home at supper time (maybe later),slightly burnt out. Those little projects or that book(that's not that interesting) seem like a chore at those times. Most of us only have 4-6 hours for ourselves on working days. If you have a family ,it is much less. So sitting at the kitchen table or on the couch dreaming of winning the lottery or something is quite normal.
What I have done is that I make sure I only do things(as hobbies) that I really enjoy. My son has a desire to learn the banjo...no teachers around,so I bought myself one also and am learning with him. Takes the stress off....now...if i can only GET THE DAMN THING TUNED!!!!

Good post floyd, I would of posted a response sooner but I became board of typing and waited to finish later, then I was distracter by something shiny in the other room and wandered off for several hours. We Plumbers and heating tech's should make up a Questionnaire ( DO YOU NEED A NEW BOILER) and put it on the internet, no matter how low you score the final results will state YES.

Answer to last question is : not at all. I think the point of this " TEST " is: If you do not suffer fools lightly, Strive for excellence, Care about what you do and those around you, you need to be drugged down to the mental level of "Leno Jay Walker".Kids are being drugged in school to supress their natural curiosity and energy, because incompetent people are there for the paycheck, bennies, three month paid vacation, not because they wish to teach and impart knowledge and mutual respect. If kids are daydreaming in class don't drug them because the teacher is a bore, give them an instructor that is capable of holding their attention. It seems to me that today an agile inquisitive mind is a threat that must be controlled with drugsotherwise society wouldn't tolerate stupidity rebroadcast incessently like trista's & dingalings wedding and paid hooker and nerds that can't afford the price unless some TV producer pays for it, with advertising money from hundred dollar plus sneakers that the morrons buy because some guy that can throw a ball into a basket and gets paid a couple of million dollars to do it, tells them to. Hey guys here's the answer to all our problems: The RPA hires a multi-million dollar ball catcher or dribbler to tell all the idiots out there that they have to have radiant heat and scorched air is bad. the fools will line up to PAY just like they pay BIG BUCKs for jackets with somebody else name and # on them that are made in timbucktoo for about 5 bucks and contribute nothing to the economy. MY RANT for the new year George

    Geo...

I think you hit the nail on the head. While ADD and ADHD are both serious problems for those so afflicted, this test looks more like a way to drum up business for some under-employed shrinks. If you have a pulse, a temperature of at least 98.5°F, and are able to read the questions through unaided, you've got a good chance of scoring high enough on this test to be at least "borderline".

If, however, you are so single-minded that you can't chew gum and walk at the same time, then you're probably just fine, as far as this test is concerned.
