running new baseboard in raised ranch

an old customer of mine is having a modular raised ranch built. I am finishing the downstairs into an inlaw apt. I am a carpenter that has done a lot of light plumbing, i.e. kitchen and bath remodeling. they are having baseboard heat installed in the upstairs. my question is how easy is it to run the lines and install the slantfin units, and how do the lines run. Is it just a loop with the units installed in the loop, or is it a line with the units coming off the line like fingers? I apologize if the question is an ignorant one, but in my travels i have never had to run any plumbing that was a whole system. I have only replaced plumbing to the same specs they were already installed in. That you for any help or guidance.
