My ZONE VALVES wont WORK

I think I have a problem in the wiring of my TACO ZONES VALVES for my gas fired, baseboard heating system (NOT a summer/winter hook-up---strictly heat).I'll list what i have done...i have one question on wire placement.
WIRING DESCRIPTION FROM THE 25V 40VA transformer and TACO ZONE VALVES:
**From "G" term. on transformer
-1 wire into junction box that is also connected to the relay
-1 wire from taco zone valve terminal #2
-1 wire to left terminal on the limit control(temp setting control)
**from "R" terminal on transformer
-1 wire from thermostat(s) (i.e. white wire)
**from "C" terminal on transformer
-1 wire into junction box with relay
-1 wire to "TR" terminal on gas valve
**from "TH" terminal on gas valve
-1 wire to right terminal on limit control
---------------------------------------------------
**TACO ZV terminal #1
- wire from thrmostat (i.e. red wire {white wire goes to "R" term. on trans.})
**TACO ZV term. #2
-wire from "G" terminal on transformer
**TACO ZV term. #3
-where should this connect to in order to get power to the valve to operate it (on the wireing diagram, it shows this wire going to "T" terminals on primary control...but i'm not exactly sure what term. that is?
**** ALSO****
1- could i have a bad relay????
2- on the gas valve, what is the middle terminal, labeled "TH-TR" used for?
3- do the ZV's need to be in the horizontal position?
the transformer is 120V 60Hz----25V 40VA Class 2 transformer.
any help on this would be great. originally this system had just one zone. i went and added more zones. i CAN get the heat to kick on, but i have to have both ZV's in the OPEN position...they will not operate in the AUTO position...and i did try to hook up just one ZV to not avail.
