Infloor radiant around indoor swimming pool

I've never done one of these but have installed several pool heater/dehumidifier systems in the past. The pool and dehumidification system will provide most if not all of the heat you will need, so any radiant would be mostly floor warming, I would think. Use a floor sensor control.

infloor radiant around indoor swimming pool.

I have a customer who is installing a new indoor swimming
pool and wants infloor radiant around the pool area.
Are there any issues to watch out for? The customer is
planning on having a dry-o-tron dehumidifier installed
and wanted to know if the infloor heating would be affected?
    Thanks for now....

    Pool rooms

You need to keep the air temp a couple of degrees above the water temp to minimize evaporation and condensation on windows. The use of a pool blanket is also a great energy saver. The last couple we've done we also included a secondary fan coil in the dryatron's air path and an HX for extra pool heat when required - all off the dryatron's second stage controls. Enjoy....Dan

  • Cover the Pool

You will need to cover the pool with something. An automatic pool cover would be the best. It will cut your dehumdification load by a bunch, save you 50% on heating, chemicals, not to mention safety. Radiant heat in the pool deck is a real plus, because it evaporates the standing water that is sure to accumulate, and it feels great! We have done quite a few, let me know if you need any additional info...

    I have designed a few

of these jobs. The radiant is primarily there for floor conditioning. Without a doubt you need to use a slab sensor. The dehumidification will take care of the actual heating of the space. The decision to make is whether you are going to utilize outdoor reset for the radiant. I would.

    pool radiant

i am starting to work on somthing similar an wonder if anyone has had any history with heating an entire pool with tubing in the slab. i am trying to work on the math for heat loss with the density of the water. i have talked to several people in the area and curiousity is high.
