tigerloop

Anybody have any idea why the tigerloop fills up. I find that the bowl will slowly fill on most loops I have. Some will fill on the first run cycle and some take years. The funny thing is that the inground tanks do not have this problem so far as I know. We install roth tanks, garber filters and mostly overhead oil lines. We like the loops they are much cleaner than a second line and better. The vac gauge is reading at the filter from 3 to 7 inches of vac on all systems. We think that they flood because the loop is at the floor or only three feet high off the floor. That means the roth is equal to or above the loop. O K.... so if that is the problem than, I should have presure. We have just tryed an OSV (oil safty valve) on one unit and two days later seam fine but do not tap the loop or it will fill up. I also have rised one loop above the roth tank in hopes it will work with out an OSV. My question is if the loop fills because it has psi on the inlet then why is it reading vac? What is the science behind it?

    Tigerloop flooding

The only time I've ever had a Tigerloop flood on me was due to too high inlet pressure. I think they are only rated at around 5 psi? Maybe 10? NOt sure. I've had transfer pumps set too high that caused this. I've also had above ground fuel tanks create too much head and flood them. The OSV is a good idea. I don't know but I think once they originally flood, it is tough to not get them to flood again. Try swapping one out with a new one and make sure it has an OSV on it. See what happens. good luck.
