LAMINATED FLOORING

I want to use laminated flooring ( Kronoswiss Crystal Clic ) over hot water radiant heat. The flooring comes with padding attached to the bottom of the flooring. To make everything quieter, they suggest using additional padding. What affect will the additional padding have and is it worth the effort?

Typically the padding most floor guys use is not significant enough of an R-Value to loose the benefits of the radiant heat. Be carefull to not use too much as it will act as an insulator to the floor.0 -
Flooring r-value
Ask the installer or seller for the r-value of the flooring and pad and compare this to what was figured on the heat loss. If it's less, no problem.
