I have a peerless steam boiler. After reading this board, I worry that my pressure may be set too high. What is the reccomended setting? Where do I look?

Unfortunately
The where to look part is the problem. Something as simple as a pressure setting is not on the boiler nameplate or even in the operating instructions. The boiler is used I'll bet 95% of the time in residences where a 1/2 pound cut in and a 2 pound cut out is what the system was designed for. However the boiler can also be used up to it's 15 pound rating and for a small commmercial with condesate lift from unit heaters this too is fine. The pressure control is also adjustable for this range even if only rarely used there. And the instructions that come with the control apply to 2 completely different applications. It's almost like this is on a need to know basis and no one who makes or sells the stuff thinks you need to know. This shouldn't be the secret handshake but it is.0
