I have a pig strapped to my chest...

Hope you're feeling better! Kind of reminds me of an "aftermarket" accessory that someone dreamed up (quite a few years back) for Turbocharged cars. It would store a charge of oil on startup, and as the oil pressure dropped on shutdown, it would put fresh/cool oil into the turbo shaft and keep it "cool" when it was at a hot temp. trying to not to boil "Lubricant" off on shutdown.
I thought the the morphine pump they gave me in the hospital was pretty cool, but to be able to take something like that home is WAY cooler!
Have some all bran or eat lots of veggies. That stuff will back you up somethimg awful if your not careful!
Been there, done that...Don't want to do it again.
Happy holidays , and please do yourself one more favor....RELAX! Let the healing process take place . Rushing back to work will only set you up for a big dissapointment. (I speak from experience!) Chris.

A pain killing pig that is...
When they discharged me from the hospital, they had this black bag that was strapped to my chest. It contained a device about the size of a pop can. Inside the bag was this clear plastic device that was connected to a plastic tube. The end of the tube disappears under the gauze wrapping on my shoulder. It's a 200ml container that slowly discharges pain killing medecine into the area of surgery. It is essentialy the same thing as The Pig that we use to maintain pressurization during air elimination on snowmelt systems. It has a capilliary tube that is about the size of an 18 gauge wire. It is set up so that it basically puts out just enough medicine to last for 48 hours. At that time, I pull it out and start taking heavier doses of oral pain killers.
Whooda thunk them doctors have been hanging out here at the Wall? I guess the body is realy nothing more than a functioning radiant heating/cooling system. The boiler (stomach) converts solid fuel to thermal energy. The circulator (heart) moves the hydronic fluid (blood) through the mains (arteries) and then to the sub distribution mini tubes (veins). The thermostat (brain) makes the determination as to whether the system is in cooling mode (sweating) or heating mode (non sweating, shivering in extremes).
I hope I never have to have my circulator worked on...
In the attached photo, you can see that the diaphragm is almost completely expended. It started out the same size as the canister in which it resides.
Technawlagy, ain't it something?
Starting to feel some pain...
BTW, the picture is from the new Zire 71 PDA. Kinda shaky...

Hope it goes well
Wish they had that when I had the cuff surgery. I read after my surgery that rotator cuff surgery can be one of the most painful surgerys you can experience. I wished they had told me before. Maybe the Doctors thuoght I'd go running for the horizon if I knew. A year and 2 months later I feel real good and am glad I did it. Be well soon. WW

If you squint a little...
it sort of resembles the air locks for wine/beer making vessels! Was it the photo that was shaky or you? Hope you have a quick recovery and don't need to take a 'hit' too often.
Sandy will be sort of in your neighborhood tomorrow, until Tues. or Wed. Taking her mother in to Denver to have her elbow pinned following a bad fall today. I just spoke to the patient and her pain killers were really kicking in, finally. Greg0 -
Best wishes, Mark
I hope that you have a speedy recovery and not too much
pain. Have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Just make sure
you size the expansion tank properly. Use this handy, easy to use guide:
Slim and trim - size 15
Spare tire - size 30
Beer belly - size 45
Samurai style - custom
These come pre-charged from the factory and even though you are the Guru of BTU's, check the pressure at the schrader valve before you connect it to your system and make sure it is charged to the working pressure of your system.
Get plenty of rest, Mark.
