Just now finishing a few radiant projects and catching up on some "to do" lists.
Topping the list next...Joining the RPA. I have a few issues with Board related stuff, but I want to join to be an RPA certified designer, installer, and down the road....I would love to start a chapter in my area and be an instructor. I followed the "RPA Member" thread closely, but no input was made about testing and certification.
I have been doing radiant floor design and overseeing installation for quite a while. I want the most bang for my buck since I am going to join as "Paul Rohrs" and not affiliate my membership with wholesale, (my background) and the like.
My questions revolve around the basic tests for installer and designer. Have any of you taken the correspondance course (Lawrence Drake mentioned it being available.) and then completed the tests? Do you recommend that as opposed to taking the course on site, then testing?
There is a basic lack of knowledge in our arena and I would like to do my part to correct it. What have you all accomplished after completing the coursework?
All input is welcome. I will post on the Bulleting board and see if there is response. Sometimes I also get caught up watching current posts only on The Wall portion of this site. later, I can post to The Wall.
Regards,
PR
