I was discussing a job my partner sold. Gonna have hi temp loop, indirect tank, and radiant. This HO bought the radiant from www.radiantcompany.com Anyone hear of this place before. I had to go on-line and print there manual for recommended piping etc. to check. This seems to be a bit of bologna to me....He ran the radiant per there instructions but it is very ridgid..I dont like it he has more kinks and breaks than I can count. He has got alot of fixing to do. Not very neat either. Anyway we are just doing the boiler and attaching the radiant he has to repair leaks after pressure test. Just to fill you guys in I will try and take some pictures of this one. The tubing is 7/8" and ran through the center of each bay underfloor. Has heat transfer plates and from the looks he has to insulate with air gap after pressure check. According to them this will work but it seems like alot of space between lines, 16" or so on center. Any input appreciated as usual.
Thanks
Paul

Look back a couple days to a link called "unfortunate customer", and maybe one other about the RPA. You will find plenty of comments about this kind of company.
i don't think you will find anybody here that disagrees with you as to the poor quality of work they do.

My advice, for what it's worth.........
is to tell your client it is not going to work the way "radiant floor heating" should work. Because it won't. Let me know if I can help you with anything, Paul.

I wish I could spend the money they do on advertising so I could counter their hyperbole. Common sense should tell people, if they have done the required homework, that what Ben & Jerry Radiant espouses, will not work. The laws of physics will beat the laws of economics every time!

That's a great line heatboy!
I'll remember I heard it from you. (but allow me to adjust it a little bit) "The laws of physics trump the laws of economics every time." Thanks! Kevin

Thanks all
Heatboy I will contact you if I have any problems. Tried to talk to HO but in his book this is the greatest thing since sliced bread. We are going to work with what we have. I personally would not have even sold the job because now I am associated with it. Good or Bad!
I will keep you guys posted.....
