I recently repiped a burnham steam boiler that had a bad header set up i did a dropped header on it 1 rad was catching condensate in it even after it was pitched properly I installed a vapor stat now all is queit but takes for ever to heat up should i remove the dropped header or is there another solution ?

Have you checked the vents to see if operating properly or any missimg on the mains?

Ed, where are the slow ones?

Near the boiler, or out at the end of the mains?

The dropped header won't be the cause, but the pressure might need a couple more ounces, or the boiler might need it's input checked against the load.

the only main vent is at the end of the run it has been changed out the pressurretrol is set for 16 ounces customer complaint is it takes 3 hrs to get rads hot but now the system is finally quiet
