    I've been in business for 21 years. I've given away some service, my choice. I've given away some knowledge to competition and HO's alike, again my choice. I've talked people through easy things over the phone. I've NEVER lacked for work, or friends, or help when I needed it. I've had the pleasant surprise of having my dinner tab payed anonymously in gratitude for my friendly service, many times. Someday I may need a kind word or friendly smile, I have before, and received them without asking. I'm sure if I was a rude, inconsiderate jerk I would not have stayed in business through 8+ years of single parenthood with a young child. Instead, I had customers (friends) who babysat for free (not trade) at their insistence, so I could work as I needed to. People who gave my son winter coats, etc. out of sheer kindness. I could go on and on.

    You reap what you sow.

    I try not to post in threads that get caught up like that, no good can come of speaking or acting like some of them do and I'd rather not be associated with that attitude. You never know who's watching.
