I installed a new boiler it builds pressure up to 5 lbs and cuts out, within a minute it looses pressure and starts again, I have tried everything and cannot solve this problem , there is no leak in the system ,it is a steam one pipe system.

pressure problem
Assuming this is a residential system, 5 lbs. is way too much pressure and you probably popped some vents. Set pressuretrol for 1/2 lb and differrential at 1. check all your vents and replace as needed. This should solve the problem. Also check valve stem packings for leaks. These are the two most common places to lose system pressure.

is your boiler cracked above the water line?...look for steam from the chimney0 -
insufficient data
Was boiler sized to total net sq.ft. of radiators, and near boiler piping according to installation manual. Bigger (than necessary) is NOT better for a boiler (but bigger pipes may be better).
Does pressure (which is set way too high) build quickly when it comes on (maybe improper piping or vents not working), or only after all radiators are fully heated?
My boiler is rated almost twice the sq.ft. of radiators and has no main vents, but runs nearly 20 minutes before it pressure cycles (between 0.5-1.5 psi). It came with the home, so not much I can do about it (except add main vents) until it wears out.0
