Piping panels

do you all use for fastening pipes to you hydronic panels? I have used Strut with cushion clamps for a lot of my piping, but there are times when you need to have different elevations from the board so pipes can cross each other. I'm waiting for Heatboy to write the definitive book on how to create these works of art. I know it would sell on this site. WW

    Unistrut

comes in different depths. Use 7/8" for the closest to wall, then deeper strut as you work out.

I have also cut copper tube spacers and use long lags to fasten the strut.

I like the Sammy Screw idea!

    Mounting

A method I don't think I have seen on the Wall is to use back-to-back 15/8" square strut or better yet the 15/8" by 31/4" strut. Mount it free standing with floor plates. Install all vertical pipe on one side horizontal on the other. When you change directions you change planes, you will never run into yourself. Another advantage is that you are not restricted to a wall. bob
