Fired up the Munch tonight. One burp where the burner went hog wild and created an F5 fault code. Then she started learning the system and has since settled into her sweet spot on the heating curve. Talk about steady state!
Data logging is sexy! I've been glued to my laptop for hours(G).
The exhaust has settled in too and is running the same temp as the return water. Condensate out the wazoo. When the indirect calls, the buffer tank built into my system keeps the return water well below 140 (runs at 111 while the Munch is allowed to ramp up to 185 on the supply side)& the condensate turns into a torrent instead of rapid dripping.
The exhaust runs under my garage floor (as does the combustion intake line), so the 125 degree exhaust is stripped of another 50 degrees before it sees the 36.5 degree outdoor air.
No looking back!

Trust me...
you'll be hooking it up to your home PC in very short order.
Just cut their cable in half, splice some 18-4 in between, and sit down to your home PC and watch that baby work. Technology, ain't it somethin'!

Looks cool Dave!!!!
You actually got Mrs. Yates to snap that picture of you and the "other" girl you been spending your nights with lately???
:-)
That's a far neater install than I managed to do in my house.
pretty cool, being able to run the intake and exhaust pipes
out like that.
36.5 huh? sounds your getting rain the the southern part of the state.....was out for quite awhile tonight snowblowing over a foot of white stuff... guess you guys got lucky with this one.0 -
Ain't it fun?!?!?
Now you can see what is happening as it happens!
ME and Alan Forbes turned me on to the Munchkin a few years ago, and I have never had more fun.
There have been issues, but they have been few.
The Vision control is wild.
All good for our industry!
Nice work sir!

Munchkin install
I'm sitting here with my 2 year old on my lap so hopefully the spelling is ok. That looks beautiful. You did an excellent job. I really like scavenging the excess exhaust heat in the garage, good thinking.0 -
I love the stand
Dave,
That stand is great!!!! Simple, all parts are off the shelf at any supply house. I'm sure it is stable or you would not have used it. And, depending on circumstance, you can vary the height. Perfet solution.
Nice work
