Buderus Indirect ? BN

come with the water tank? I just helped a plumber friend wire and fire a new system. I could find no aquastat. I salvaged the one from the old steamer that was removed today. It did not fit the well so I wire tied it and filled the void with fiberglass insulation. Works for tonight.
I got no directions either. Maybe the plumber got juked? Also the connection for B1 spade terminal was absent. Customer states the supply house uncrated the equipment to deliver.
I got the flu today and just got in from a 16-1/2 hr day. No rest for the weary. Nyquil and to bed real soon. Have to go back to tidy up tomorrow.

Buderus
The Buderus indirect does not come with a aquastat and the well is made for the Buderus control sensor. They supply the probe with brass fillers in the control package. You need to change the well to fit U.S. aquastat's capulary . Sorry your not feeling all that well...0 -
WE have been using the goldline dhw controls w/ their own little 10K resistor type sensor, on all our Buderus indirect installs. They strap down real nice under the plate on the front of the horizonal tanks, and are small enough to fit in any probe, (except maybe some of the Veissman probes).
Also would not recommend stuffing insulation around the sensor, since it insulated the heat from the sensor. Try a scrap of copper, hammered flat enough to hold the sensor to one side of the probe.

Thanks Steve
I did not put the insulstion around the capillary, just at the end of the well to get it going until I could fix it right . Thanks0 -
Slantfin Hydronic Boilers
Slantfin is the only Hydronic boiler i've come across, that is screwed up... i like it, but i don't like it. this boiler seems to easily override or percolate. Which is not good. i've asked a lot of other techs. and even a slantfin rep. why it does this. I was not happy with my answer and that is why i'm asking you... and i've done alot of research and hours of troubleshooting.0 -

More info needed to help you...
Are you having this problem on all Slant/Fin boilers you install? Is this a problem you have seen for a long time? Does it happen after initial firing or later in time? Oil or gas fired, what Series, Model #, system type, aquastat setting? Any specific information would help us here.0
