Condensing gas furnace pressure switch clogging

to see if any cold outside air is getting into the area. I had this as a cause a couple of years ago. We had tried everything to no avail. We put an electric heater in the furnace area as a last resort, lo and behold everything dired up. Final solution was to insulate and seal up the furnace area.

No we did not leave the electric heater running after that.

Condensing gas furnace pressure switch clogs

I have a 100 BTU condensing gas furnace installed in 2002. It has a pressure switch which the tube clogs with condensate (water)The tube comes off of the fan (Not blower)

I believe this to be condensate which does not drain from the fan, but how is it getting up into this tube? (Which is higher than the fan drain?)

The whole unit will shut off and I will get three blinks on the LED on the card. All I have to do is pull the hose of the switch and let it drain, re attach and it will start right up. It has happened twice so far.

I have since re-routed the tube to be more vertical where it comes out of the fan, but I am not sure if this will stop this from happening.

What can I do to stop this from happening ?

The name of the furnace eludes me right now. It is a forced air upflow system (100 BTU)

    Usual suspect

The unit might be recirculating flue products. Make sure the inlet is to the prevailing wind and the outlet downwind. For the quick fix just put a tee into the tube and run it to a loop water seal and then into the condensate drain. Recheck the slope of the exhaust.
