Munchkin Problem??

Dave_13

I have a friend who has a Munchkin 80M installed in his 2 year old home. Lately he has had problems with his "air proving switch" I would call it. It is locking out on this fault. It has been windy, so he tried to built a guard and shield it from the wind, but this hasn't seemed to help. Is this just a pressure switch that indicates that his combustion blower is running? Any ideas? Thanks

    Hmmmm.

I thought someone would be on this quick!!!! :)
  • Pressure switch

Quite a few of the Munchkins had pressure switches that were installed to the component board with screws that were too long; the screw pierced the housing and prevented proper operation. I had 4 of them.

Check with your supplier or the factory to find out if yours could be one of them. Have the purchase date and serial number handy.

Is it just the switch that has been the problem?? This one has a connector on the circuit board- there is no terminal strip that I see......

    The blower motor

goes out and switch and gas valve are the most common.

Obviously the result of installer error!! Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.
