Started a new radiant install today-Mike Norgan

This is a new job we started today, The project is a slab on grade for the most part, but there is also a small basement and a long hallway for the plumbing and heating and what what ever else it needs to be used for. The pictures just so the tubing install, I will try to keep updated photos, this is a pretty cool project.

    New system cleaning and treatment

Like Hotrod suggested in his RPA article, I wonder if you and other installers of new systems are cleaning and treating before putting into service.

If you are, I would love to see a picture posted of what comes out of a new system when it is cleaned.

    Good luck on this project.

    Nice tube job

What thpe of pex are you using? PAP? Is that a span-deck product for a partial suspended slab? If so, do you insulate the bottom? Show us more as you move along.

    Tubing type

    Hot Rod,
I use StadlerViega tubing, If that is what you call it that is span decking. The basement is heated and the walls are about ten feet in from the outside footing walls, so for you question, no there is not any insulation below the decking. I'm thinking there shouldn't be a problem. The whole house is going to be all tile, got to love that, the heating curve will be at the lowest setting with constant circulation and outdoor reset, Sweeeeet.
