auto-bleeder

Two diverter-t zones in the house have bell and gossett auto-bleeders on them at high points in the basement. One seems to have lost the little brass screw cap, and the opening must be corroded shut. If a matching cap can be found, can the corrosion (white mineral), be corrected? or is the only answer total replacement? Also, what is on the market now that would replace it?
This inoperative bleeder is a few feet above the actual flow.
Thanks for any advice.

auto bleeder
This is a very inexpensive item. Replace it or have it replaced. Note that if you have an old style non-diaphram air tank, these autobleeders should normally be closed.0 -
bleeder
The system has a 30 gal. Bell & Gossett compression tank.
I have been visiting in this house, and unlike mine which has an even older gravity system, this one with 3 zones and 3 pumps, has been really noisy, glug glug glug sounds, whooshing sounds when moving through the diverter valves, various noises. The boiler man did a whole system check earlier in the season, was asked to bleed, it has been bled by someone else since, and the boiler man knows about the auto bleeders. So I'm not certain if these noises are normal for this sort of system, since my own is pretty quiet.
Meanwhile, I will try to find a new bleeder valve.
Thankyou0
