The Jan/Feb issue of Health magazine has an enlightening article on page 46 titled: HOT TIP: Rid Your Water of Deadly Bacteria. :(Can't view online)

It states; "this form of pneumonia strikes an estimated 18,000 Americans every year and can be spread through the water pipes in your home." It sites a recent research presentation by the American Society for Microbiology conference.

They suggest a "Quick Fix" is to "Crank up the temperature on your water heater."

It was funny to see this topic on display in one of Cheryl's magazines as I was just reading online posts from a certain character who promotes slimy open radiant systems.
