With the Mass plumbing boards. From what I can gather the approval number for radiantecs system has not been approved but is a tenative number. It will be approved but is being apporved thru a specific design and at this time will only approve the use of pex as a site by site sppoval at this time.

Pex will be approved in the future.

Without seeing the design my understanding is that it involves the use of timers but no HX.

We'll have to wait for the approval to see the design.

  • Timers?

If you need a timer, what could be the difference in pricing between that and a HX installed? Now an electrician will be required by MA code to wire it. This system is suppose to be cheap. I don't see how this saves anything. Please enlighten me.

A timer is just something electromechanical that can and WILL fail eventually. Where's that going to leave the water? Under the floors that's where. How often will someone check the timer's operation?
