easy to read books on heating ?

hey evryone, thanks again for help with ? that i post. here is my situation. i have been in the plumbing and heating feild for about 14 years. i have good work ethics and believe in workmanship, try to do the best job i can. i have a good business and am learning more everyday. have worked for about 4 companys before starting my own. plumbing is not the issue, but heating i love doing. all my abilities have been somewhat question and answer learning. but my main issue is i rely on distributors to do all my take offs. it limits me to one distributor for the most part because he comes around and makes time for me. i would really like to start to learn more so i may dictate what i want. were do i start on learning more in a simple reading and drawings i guess so i may become more independent. low voltage wiring, basic operations of a boiler, understanding btus etc.... i have a good basic understanding of all but am hungry for more. kinda like heating for dumbies book? thanks again, david fauver
i would like to be able to walk the walk and talk the talk !

    books

Head to the left of this screen to the "Books and More" section. I don't think you can find a better selection of accessible information in one place - anywhere. Hydronics, heating, wiring, piping, boilers, emitters and life lessons are all there. Enjoy.....Dan

    more good places for books

If you want more info on fuel oil and burners, go to www.oiltechtalk.com and click on "The Store", and go to www.firedragonent.com and click on "books". Alan Mercurio and George "Firedragon" Lanthier have written some great books on Oil burner service and other aspects of the heating industries.

If you want to learn all there is to know about gas burners and controls, Contact Tim McElwain of the Gas Training Institute at gastc@cox.net . He has written numerous mini books on all aspects of gas burners and controls of all types.

All three of these gentleman do training seminars also, check their websites for times and places.

Wirsbo's HCT training, Rehau's training, ITT's Little Red School House, Dan's Seminars, RSES training, RPA training, Beckett, Riello, Honeywell, etc. It is all an investment in time and money, some more, some less.
