Reasonbly priced manual mixing valve

I'd like to give proportional reset a try (http://www.pmengineer.com/CDA/ArticleInformation/features/BNP__Features__Item/0,2732,101268,00.html). However, the only dumb 3-way mixing valves my supplier will get are "ESBE" at a cost of ~$150. Since I can buy a perfectly fine thermostatic valve for ~$40 this seems a bit high.

Does anyone have source and/or brand for a reasonbly priced 3-way manual mixing valve?

sells ESBE mixing valves; don't recall them costing that much. Give them a call at (203)929-1800.

Make sure it's the brass ones; the steel ones freeze up.

What are you using the mixing valve for? What GPM? What size? If it's for heat, try Danfoss (3 way w/ tappings for OSRC motor ) about $65 boc

I have used Modentic

And Kitz (about 10 years ago) for proportional reset before. BTW, whose thermostatic valves are only $40.00?.

Application is supplimental radiant floor heating to the kitchen in an otherwise medium-high temperature cast iron radiator system. Flow is about 0.25 gpm.

Thanks Boilerpro. I misremember (or prices have increased...). Last time I bought the 3/4 erie, it was $45.

You can use two globe valves and achieve the same effect. I usually pay the extra money (about $125 for the esbe) just for looks but the globe valve on the two temp inlets can be adjusted to do the same thing as a manual three way.
