HELP ME FIND A TEXTBOOK FOR MY COMMUNITY COLLEGE CLASS

I TEACH A SIMPLE BEGINNER HYDRONICS CLASS AT THE LOCAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE HERE IN THE ROCHESTER, NY AREA. WE'VE BEEN USING A TEXTBOOK FOR SEVERAL YEARS THAT IS VERY HEAVY READING AND VERY DEEP INTO THEORY AND CALCULATION AND CORRECTING FOR DENSITY. MY CURLY-CUME FOCUSES MAINLY ON: HOT WATER HEATING, THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BTUH, FLOW AND PRESSURE DROP, AND PUMP/AIR SEPERATOR/EXPANSION TANK/FILL VALVE LOCATION. I ALSO VERY BRIEFLY TOUCH ON STEAM SYSTEMS (that should be a semester in itself), AND CONTROLS. CAN ANYONE SUGGEST A GOOD BOOK OR EVEN A COUPLE OF BOOKS THAT WOULD SERVE THE PURPOSE OF A 15 WEEK COURSE AS DESCRIBED. I'M ALSO SENSITIVE TO COST ALTHOUGH THE CURRENT TEXTBOOK RETAILS TO THE STUDENT FOR ABOUT $85 SO THEY ARE ACCUSTOMED TO SPENDING SOME DOUGH.

    not a text book

Dan Holohans book Pumping Away is not exactly a text book. But it is easy to read is in plain terms and covers A LOT of info on pumps, expansion tanks, fill valves, air separators and where to put them. It also tells you why to put them in particular spots.

    Help Fred,

It would be a great help if you go into edit and reduce all the caps to small letters.

Caps are considered loud language and are hard to read.

    Thanks
