Can i still buy in-wall steam convectors?

In my house I have a steam system with a problem: one of the in-wall convectors gets blocked and goes stone cold. If I stomp on the floor nearby it unblocks. Air hisses out and it warms up fast. I've replaced the air vent a couple of times so I think the problem is inside the convector itself. The clanking and rattling sound it makes as the air finishes escaping also suggests there is something loose inside the convector pipes themselves.

Can these things still be bought, if I need to replace it? The name on it is Tuttle&Bailey. The company still seems to exists but their website doesn't mention anything about steam convectors like this.

I guess I'll try to disconnect the convector and clean its pipes first though.

Where are you? I've pulled some out of my house and will be pulling out more. Converting to radiant and panel radiators.
    What size do you need?
I'd be happy to give you one of these if it will work for you.

    I bet,

If you take this puppy apart, you'll find a blocked feed or return pipe. Once you discover which side it's on, pitch the radiator to the return. If you have access to the piping under the floor, check to make sure it's going in the right direction.A marginal pitch on install, combined with a bit of house settling is a distinct possibility. When you speak of jumping on the floor and getting some spitting, it leads ME to believe it will be the return pipe.

Best of luck and let us know how you make out. Chris
