Logamatic R2107 - max DHW temp override

Anyone know whether it's poosible to override the max DHW temp of 140F on a Buderus R2107? I would like to set it at ~150F and then temper out of the indirect. Looks like the less capable R2109 provides a manual override, but can't find something similar on the R2107 (model with outdoor reset capability).

    None

Not possible from what I've been told. I wish it could be done also. Call Buderus, If enough of us ask for it maybe it's something they would change. 1-800-283-3787. A lot of commercial applications demand higher temps than what this contro will deliver.

    ask Buderus

Just did and got the same answer ... also posted the question on their website as a starting place to gather more user support for this capability.

    The back door...

The back door approach would be to either change the sensor location or fool the sensor.

Buderus Logamatic R2107 -vs- Tekmar 260

Any strong preferences wrt the these outdoor reset controls for use with a Buderus G115-34? I tend to prefer the R2107 given the level of integration with the boiler and like it's anti-condensate "PUMPLOGIC" feature, as well as it's being independent of heating demand when maintaining an outdoor reset heating curve. I don't like the DHW temp limit of 140F though, which the Tekmar doesn't impose because it uses an independent aquastat for monitoring the DHW indirect. Any other pros/cons I should consider before making a decision?

Yes ... can be done with some external resistors, but effects accuracy of control setting and readout as well as fixed differential used for hysterisis. This is a microprocessor based unit and there's gotta be a more "capable" over-ride built in to this thing. I've been told that it's all about product liability (scald potential) as to why Buderus will not support a higher DHW setting. Anyone know what the DHW differential is?

    Correction

Installing aquastat and well along with a preference relay would work but will bypass the the 2107 features.... Ahhh ......never mind forgot about boiler temperature...Daaah!

Seems like your looking for more hot water? Think about ? Sister in a second tank or try installing the booster button off the room sensor?
