is the configuration of the series string. How many feet of BBR, where. I.E. Boiler, 10 feet 1/2" PEX, 7 feet BBR with 300 BTUH load, 10 feet PEX, 15 feet BBR, 7500 BTUH load and so on and so forth. I can use Siggys Wonderful Software to tell you what will happen, but need a lot of data on your part, including room loads in BTUH.

running 1/2\" pex to basebord loops
How do you find out if a baseboard loop is too long to run 1/2" pex. The total length of the loop is about 110 ft. with 50' of 3/4 baseboard0 -
from the boiler there would be about 30 feet of pex. Then 13 feet of slant fin 30 7,107 btu. Then about 8 feet 1/2" pex feeding 15' of slant fin 30 8800 BTU. Then 8 feet 1/2" pex feeding 11 ' slant fin 80 7600 BTU. Then 20' of 1/2" pex feeding 4' slant fin 80 2500 btu. 8' 1/2" pex feeding 5' slant fin 30 and 30' back to boiler. Where can I find the program you are talking about0 -
Go to
www.hydronicpros.com
You should be able to download a one time free demo and run some calcs. An excellent program to own, along with the book, by the way. Pays for itself in one job!

thanks
I will order it. Seems like it does a lot of things for the money0 -
Yes
it is a wonderful program. Play around in the Pipe Sizer program. It will show you different BTU carring results for different size pex or copper running various delta T's. Pretty eye opening stuff!
You'll be like a kid in a candy store with this software.

hr, Is that why you use the Rems Curvo?
Virtually no pressure drops across those long radius bends as far as I can tell.
I'm wondering if the Hydronic Simulator Module convinced you that you could increase flow by using less fittings? I'm having Rems send me out their product literature. I want one. Big money tool though. Wish there was a place I could go and try it out first.

Come on out
you can test drive mine. Is there a REMS rep in your area? He should be able to get a demo in your hands.
I agree those long sweeps don't count like a short turn 90. I don't add up 6" radius curves in pex layouts as 90's. Good thing! if every 180 loop in pex counted as two 90's... ouch.
What's not to like about a Curvo, it takes lots of fittings and solder joints out of a job, as well as providing better flow hydraulics. looks nice, never leaves you needing one more 90.
Actually less money than a pipe threaded and attachments. It should last you a lifetime, it's not a throwaway like a sawzall
