Staple up question

Do you normally run staple-up tubing under closets and cabinets, or just under actual living space?

Secondly, I have seen posts saying that the extruded transfer plates are good but not the thin aluminum type - what are some brand names of the good ones?

Thanks!

Normally not under closets & cabinets. Why heat under there?

The best plates "I've heard" are made by Dale piccard. Wirsbo sells a good plate system that I've worked with. I think it's based on Dale's design though. Stay away from the thin u-type plates. Been there-done that.

    Some closets

if they are on outside walls they will need some heat. Especially large walk ins!

Maybe just 1 loop through smaller ones. Actually I like to locate the manifolds in closets. A nice seldom seen location and it bleeds a small amount of heat into the space.

Generally not under cabinets, although I like to run a single loop under any cabinet that has plumbing running up through it, on outside walls. That's a common freeze up location :) Bathroom cabinets turn into towel warmers with some radiant under them. Don't try it in kitchen cabinets that store food, however.

So the correct answer is, it depends!
